2009 Season Renovations
Last fall, husband & wife owners Mark Diette & Mary Di Maria announced to their 175 dealers that Burlwood will be closed for renovations during the 2009 season. Plans include a remodeling of the inside of the mid 19th century building to create a new selling environment. Burlwood has always been a leader in the antiques mall business, and these changes will allow us to continue this leadership. We want to make the Burlwood experience even better for dealers and customers with our renovations while still preserving the charm of the building's interior. While we have always run Burlwood as a great venue for dealers and a delight to the customers seeking their perfect items, we have decided to make it even better for years to come. The building at Burlwood will be closed during renovations; however, Mark & Mary are considering the possibility of allowing the use of their adjacent land for antiques shows and auctions this summer. The challenge is in finding the right promoter that would complement Burlwood and its great reputation for both top quality product and a great buying experience.
